JORDAN SPIETH has been promised a free shave and haircut whenever he is next in Scotland.
American Spieth popped into a Turkish barbers in Carnoustie on Saturday morning for a trim before heading out onto the links and shooting a round of 65 and surge to the top of the leaderboard.
SunSport tracked down the man who made Spieth look clean cut for the final day as he tried to win back-to-back Opens.
Friyad Salami, 33, was shaken when the world famous American golfer strolled into the Magic Barbers 2 shop on Carnoustie High Street and asked for a haircut.
Salami said: I thought it was Spieth, but I was too shy to ask because I was not quite sure. Instead I just decided to treat him like any other customer. We did not even talk about the golf!
He gave me the 20 for a 9 haircut - its the biggest tip I have ever had. Normally we only ever get 1 or 2 as a tip.

Spieth, 24, joked that his hair had been shaved a little too short and high on the side of his head for his liking and described it as a very British haircut.
Salami points out that his most famous customer just needs to understand Scottish fashion a bit more.
He said: He asked for a number three or number four on the sides on back, and just a little tidy up on top.
He has said that I cut it higher than he is used to, but hes from America and this is how we do it in the Scottish summer.
