RORY McILROY has confirmed he will return for next week'sUS Open and is "excited" about the progress he has made in recovering from his rib injury hell.
The world No 2 was forced to withdraw from his final two warm-up events after aggravating the old injury at the Players Championship.
But the four-time Major winner today posted a video from his Portugal boot camp showing off his free-flowing swing.

McIlroy wrote: "Good progress made over the past two weeks in Quinta do Lago Portugal. Excited for the US Open."
The four-time Major winner's plans for his build-up to Erin Hills had been thrown into disarray after a recurrence of his rib injury.
McIlroy, who stormed the field at Congressional in 2011 for his first slam event, missed eight weeks at the start of this season.
And this latest set back - which required an MRI scan - meant he had to sleep with his back to new wife Erica to ease the pain.
McIlroy blamed his injury on long practice sessions spent trying to find out which new clubs heshould use.
But a two-week stay at the five-star Portugal resort appears to have given him all the rest and recuperation needed for a much-anticipated return.
McIlroy told the Guardian: "I am ready for Erin Hills and looking forward to playing there for the first time.
"The last few weeks have obviously been frustrating I never like to miss events either on the PGA Tour or European Tour but it was important I got back to a level of fitness where I felt like I could give myself the best possible chance at the US Open.
"Every aspect of the facilities at Quinta do Lago has been first class. I cant thank the people there enough for the way they have looked after me.
"I have been able to work on fitness and golf without any distractions at all."
