Tottenham and England stars Dele Alli and Harry Kane try to warm up in the cold of Dortmund ahead of the Champions League tie against the Germans

CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN has vowed to end a rollercoaster week with a spot of good old-fashioned revenge.

Tottenhams Danish World Cup hero is desperate to make Borussia Dortmund pay for his clubs 2-0 loss in Saturdays North London derby at rivals Arsenal.

Spurs face the stuttering Germans a little over 72 hours after their shoddy Emirates showing.

And Eriksen, 25, said: You can win some, you can lose some but of course you dont want to lose the derby because we know what it means to everyone.

The players spoke about it after the game and at training and so forth. Theres not been any team meeting and you cant call it a crisis after you lose one game.

But its good that we have a game so quickly afterwards and you can have a bit of revenge.

You can show the world that you are a bit better than what you saw last Saturday.

Tottenham have been a lot better in the Champions League, winning three including a 3-1 romp over Real Madrid and drawing one to book their place in the knockout stage.

Eriksen will line up against an out-of-form Dortmund side tonight, a week after his hat-trick inspired Denmark to a 5-1 win against the Republic of Ireland in their World Cup play-off second leg in Dublin.

He said: It was quite something. Getting your country to the World Cup is something you dont often get the chance to do.

Luckily it happened so it was a very exciting day.

Qualification had its ups and downs but to finish by going to the World Cup, after everything we went through, was amazing and such a high.

Then the game at Arsenal on Saturday was a big difference, a big blow compared to what happened on Tuesday. There was a high and a low and a big gap in between.

Denmark boss Age Hareide hailed Eriksen as one of the worlds best players after his treble booked the nations place in Russia. But modest Eriksen said: Of course its a very big compliment.

There are so many players in the world and talking to the media straight after a game like that...you put your players anywhere!

But its up to people to judge me and say where I belong. Im just trying to do my thing and be the best possible.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is ready to make changes to his team for their trip to Dortmund, who are fifth in the Bundesliga. He said: Our challenge changed because we were so good in the first four games.

A draw in Madrid and win at Wembley, its a massive achievement. If we can finish on top, its important.

We are going to play our best team, fresh players, never taking risks because their health is most important.

SPURS (likely line-up): Lloris, Sanchez, Dier, Vertonghen, Aurier, Sissoko, Winks, Eriksen, Rose, Dele, Kane.
