LIVERPOOL legend John Barnes has sensationally claimed that Neymar would not get into the Reds' starting XI - labelling the Brazilian as 'lazy'.
The 54-year-old has slammed the ex-Barcelona star after being underwhelmed by his performance for Paris Saint-Germain in their 3-2 defeat at Anfield last night.
While he was also critical of French World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe, who netted PSG's equaliser to level the game at 2-2.
A stoppage-time strike from Roberto Firmino secured the deserved victory for Liverpool, but Barnes was less than impressed with Les Parisiens' star duo.
The Jamaican-born left winger declared that Neymar, 26, would in no way get in Jurgen Klopp's side.
Speaking to talkSPORT on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast Show, he said: "It depends who the manager is not with Jurgen Klopp.
I saw the interview Klopp gave last night, he spoke about the defensive work of the whole team, meaning the front three as well.
A lot of people say Neymar is the best in the world, which may suit PSG or Man City or Barcelona.
But regardless of how good he is, there is no way he would suit Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp.
Before adding: "I was disappointed with Neymar and Mbappe. I thought they were so lazy when they didnt have the ball, they didnt help their team at all.
I thought it would be a game of our front three against their front three, and to a man our players worked their socks off for 90 minutes with and without the ball it was a fantastic performance by Liverpool.
PSG arent going to pay for it in the French league, where Neymar and Mbappe dont track back and dont run around too much and still win comfortably, but that will probably work against PSG in the latter stages of the Champions League.
Neymar has banged in four goals in all competitions this season, while the ex-Monaco maestro has five strikes to his name.
