BROOKS KOEPKA was left shaken after a wayward tee shot struck a female fan in the head and left her bloodied.
The American golfer, 28, struck the supporter in the face on the short, par-four sixth hole attempting a monster drive.
Koepka had hoped to go from tee to green in one shot and set himself up an eagle putt.
However, his huge swing on day one of the 2018 Ryder Cup resulted in a fan taking the brunt of the ball and suffering a nasty eye injury.
Koepka revealed he is praying he has notBLINDED the woman.
He said: "I haven't gotten an update. I actually just asked in the locker room, and nobody knew. So I have no idea what's going on.
"It looked like it hurt. She was bleeding pretty good.
"It looked like it hit her right in the eye, so hopefully there's no loss of vision.

"It doesn't feel good, it really doesn't. You feel terrible for them.
"You know exactly how they are feeling, especially when you've got to go over there and apologise, because they are in pain, usually bleeding, and then to hit her in the face.
"You don't want to hit anybody in the face, especially not a woman.
"I just wanted to get out of there, so I'm glad Tony [Finau] was able to chip-in and leave."
Rich Beem, on-course commentator for Sky Sports, said Koepka was clearly shaken-up as he missed a number of putts.
Koepka, who won the US Open and US PGA this year, also went miles left with his tee shot off the seventh tee, narrowly missing more spectators lining the fairway.
He said: "It's not a fun feeling. I probably do it way more than I should. It seems just about every week we're hitting somebody. It's unfortunate, you're never trying to."
A European Tour spokesperson said: A spectator was hit on the head by a golf ball this morning at the sixth hole.
"She was immediately supported by marshals and assessed by the medical team on site.
"She has been taken to the hospital as a precaution but doctors have confirmed the injury is not serious. The spectator does not have a broken nose, contrary to what some media announced.
Tony Finau joined Koepka for the US on day one for the four-balls - taking on Justin Rose and Jon Rahm for Europe.
