MATT LE TISSIER may havethought he was hisssstory when he came across a deadly-looking snake on the golf course.
The former Southampton maestro was today enjoying a round of golf with a pal in West Surrey.
While most players aim for eagles and birdies, Le Tissier scored himself a coiled up SERPENT.
The Sky Sports presenter, 47,tweeted: "Wasn't expecting to see that in the rough left of 17th fairway! (Was looking for mates ball obvs) (sic)"
In the UK, adders are the only venomous snakes found in the wild.
But Le Tissier appears to have escaped unharmed, having updated his social media since the upload.
He ended the day with a score of 77 and described his experience as "excellent" despite the dangerous encounter.
