PADRAIG HARRINGTON put on an aggressive display to claim his first European Tour title in eight years at the Portugal Masters.
The Irishman shot a final-round 65 for a 23-under-par score and beat defending champion Andy Sullivan by one shot.
The win in the Algarve was Harringtons first Tour win since the 2008 USPGA Championship.
Harrington said: Its a big win. Portugal Masters is a big tournament.
"I tried to be really aggressive.
"The course really suited me and I just tried to go after every pin I could.
"I have a pretty good short game that was on form this week.
"No matter where I hit it, I felt like I could get it up and down."
The win is Harringtons 15th on the European Tour.
Semi-retired Dane Anders Hansen and Finn Mikko Korhonen were tied for third at 21 under.
English duo Robert Rock and Chris Paisley plus Scot Paul Lawrie were in the group a further shot back.
