Bernardo Silva wants VAR in the Champions League after Man City's exit by Liverpool

BERNARDO SILVA wants VAR in the Champions League following Manchester Citys quarter-final exit at the hands of Liverpool.

Pep Guardiolas men were roundly trounced 3-0 in the first leg before suffering a 2-1 defeat in the return clash at the Etihad on Tuesday night.

However, things could have panned out differently when a Leroy Sane goal found the back of the net to make it 2-0 to City on the night.

But the goal was disallowed as Sane was judged to be offside even though the German winger was clearly on.

It caused a furious response from City, who saw boss Pep Guardiola sent to the stands at half time for his angry protests.

The Premier League champions-elect then conceded yet another goal to Mohamed Salah before Roberto Firmino wrapped up the game to make it 5-1 to Liverpool on aggregate.

We gave everything we could so no regrets. Next year well be back to try again! Congratulations to @liverpoolfc and good luck on the semi-finals.
