JUSTIN ROSE says he will have a huge target on his back after becoming World No1.
The Englishman could land 8.8million at this weeks Tour Championship here in Atlanta before carrying Europes hopes in the Ryder Cup duel with the United States at the end of the month.
But Rose says his family made sure that new-found status did not go to his head, especially children Leo and Kate.
He explained: All the players, without fail, have said Congrats on getting to No1. They realise its a big milestone. Its a moment in your career that you always remember and cherish.
Ive been able to have a glass of champagne over the weekend with a couple of close friends.
The kids were happy for five minutes and then theyre on to the next thing. Kate gets caught up with her world, so nothing changes at home. Im still No2 or No3 there.

And out here, I think its just more of a target on your back. Its so tight that it could easily change again this week. But I would love to end the year as No1, that is a big goal.
Rose is second in the FedEx Cup standings and victory this week would guarantee him that 8.8m jackpot 1.2m for the win and a 7.6m bonus as overall champion.
That sum will be dwarfed next year though. The prize fund for the elite 30 golfers slugging it out at East Lake will double to a staggering 53.2m with the winner picking up an 11.4m bonus.
