SportBook Service | Spurs fans rage as BT Sport tweet semi-finals artwork with Sterling on in bizarre cock-up

BT Sport tweeted this graphic... featuring one glaring error

BT SPORT have sparked outrage from Tottenham fans after tweeting a graphic to mark the start of the Champions League semi-finals with an image of Raheem Sterling on and no Spurs players.

Sterling and Manchester City were knocked out of the Champions League by Mauricio Pochettino's men in an extraordinary quarter-final on away goals.

But the broadcaster celebrated the start of the final four with a colourful piece of artwork featuring that one glaring error.

The artwork features Barcelona's Lionel Messi, Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk, Ajax's Matthijs de Ligt... along with KO'd City ace Sterling.

And Spurs fans went straight on the attack, with one claiming: "Bitter City fan running the BT Twitter page."

Another said: "I'm assuming @BTSportFootball had this image made a while back and just assumed Spurs would get beat by City... That's funny."

One told them: "Go to bed you're drunk."

Either way the slight has got Spurs fans fired up ahead of tonight's Champions League semi-final - the first in the club's history.

Mauricio Pochettino's side welcome Ajax to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with a golden chance of making the final.

But they face a fantastic Ajax side with young stars like De Ligt and Frenkie de Jong firing and showing a brilliant team ethic.

The Dutch league leaders have already beaten defending champions Real Madrid and Juventus en-route to the final four and pose a massive threat to Spurs, who are without Son Heung-min and Harry Kane.
