AN authentic Masters green jacket has sold at an auction for a stunning 112,623.
But the famous jacket was first bought at a thrift shop for just 4 after an eagle-eyed golf fan spotted the Masters logo on the front pocket.
Without knowing if the jacket was a knock-off or the real deal, the punter apparently purchased it in 1994 before it eventually ended up on auction site Greenjacketauctions.com.

Bidding started at 4041 but the value continued to rocket as the one-of-a-kind jacket gained increasing popularity.
And in the final moments of the auction the 35th and final bid came at112,623.
But the buyer will never know which Masters winner won the green jacket as the name-tag has been torn out.
Augusta National confirmed its authenticity and experts believe the jacket could have been awarded to a winner from the early 1950s.
Jimmy Demaret won the famous tournament in 1950 whilst the great Ben Hogan won it twice in three years in '51 and '53.
