But Barcelona midfielder Busquets reckons Messi is a one-club man through and through and that England cannot offer anything he does not already have in Spain.

Busquets said: He is totally at home here, having all the factors there are a great changing room, winning titles, a great project, winning collective and individual awards.

This is a big club with big players next to you. He is doing well economically. He is in a great city and, in the end, all these positive things are difficult to find elsewhere.

The Premier League is a spectacular league that we would maybe like to play in but you have to take the positives and the negatives into account.

When you do that, it is very difficult to think about leaving Barcelona because you have everything here to make you feel good.

If you have been here for a long time and it feels so much like home, it is hard to leave.

Messi, 30, has just become a dad for the third time, skipping work in the win over Malaga on Saturday to be at the birth. But Busquets insists the forward will be just as focused as ever despite the new arrival.

He said: He will be fine. In fact, he will be more motivated and relaxed than what we are used to.

And physically he is going to be great after having an extra games rest. So I hope that this is perfect.

Catalans boss Ernesto Valverde knows his men are favourites to advance to the quarter-finals after Messi snatched a late equaliser in the first leg at Stamford Bridge last month.

But Valverde fears Blues in-form forward Willian could wreck Barcas plans.

The versatile Brazilian, 29, netted the opener in the first leg and has scored five goals in his last five games.

Valverde said: He is scoring easily and he is a player we have to take into account.

Those players who find shooting so easy, they can score easier than in different moments if they are in a good streak. He is in the best form of the season.

Chelsea will be very difficult. We will try to find a secret formula.
