JUSTIN KLUIVERT netted his first ever Champions League goal on Tuesday night.
And the new Roma star made it even more special by dedicating the strike to former Ajax teammate Abdelhak Nouri, who collapsed on the pitch in July 2017.
The wonder kid suffered brain damage after a heart attack due to cardiac arrhythmia during a pre-season friendly.
And in August, Nouri woke from his coma and was able to communicate with his family for the first time in over a year.
Close pal Kluivert came up through the Ajax ranks with Nouri and was quick to display a shirt with his friends name on it after netting in the 5-0 rout over Viktoria Plzen.
Nouri is still not able to move his body, but he has been helped out of bed into a wheelchair after making astonishing progress.
Brother Abderrahim revealed: His neurological condition is better than a few months ago. Physically, its hard.
He does not move the body, just the head, but sometimes he gets out of bed to sit in his wheelchair. You can communicate with him.
In the beginning we were not allowed to stay with him for a long time. Those are the hospitals rules. You have visiting hours. But after a while the doctors saw that we as a family had a lot of influence on Abdelhak.
He became calmer. He recognised us. We reassure him, he hears a familiar voice. Since then we can, and do, stay with him 24 hours a day. Because it does him good.
