PAUL CASEY has made a sparkling start to the Tour Championship... days after his TV presenter wife Pollyanna Woodward gave birth to their second child.
Former Gadget Show host Pollyanna - who was a top 10 finalist at Miss England - gave birth to baby Astaria.
And new dad Casey celebrated by giving himself a shot at winning the 8.5million prize on offer in Atlanta this weekend.
He said: I havent been home to see the baby yet, but that is something to look forward to.
"Pollyanna picked the name, Astaria I dont know where that one came from, but it has a nice sound to it.
Pollyanna posted a photo of Astaria on Instagram, along with the message "My favourite waste of time."
Casey birdied three of the last four holes at East Lake to charge into a share of second place with a four under par 66, two shots behind surprise leader Kyle Stanley.
Casey also showed why Thomas Bjorn MUST persuade him to return to Europes Ryder Cup ranks.
The Arizona-based English ace has not played for Europe since 2008, and has ruled himself out of contention for the last two Ryder Cups to focus on his new life in America.
But after a few years in the doldrums the former world No 3 has re-established himself in the games top tier.
He is back up 16th in the world rankings, making him the seventh highest rated European golfer.
That will improve if he continues in this vein, and after finishing in the top five in each of his three previous visits to East Lake, Casey, 40, has his sights firmly on the 8.5 million jackpot awaiting the FedEx Cup champion on Sunday.
Stanley leads after the first round after a 64, two shots ahead of Casey, Brooks Koepka, Daniel Berger and Webb Simpson.
Justin Thomas, Jon Rahm, Russell Henley, Gary Woodland and Jordan Spieth are a shot further back.
Casey said: "It's a tall order from 10th place overall on the standings to try and get this thing done this week.
"I'm going to need a lot of guys to make some errors, so it's probably unlikely - but we're going to give it a damn good try.
Ive just got to shake my Mr Thursday tag I lead the PGA Tour in first round scoring, but Im about 30th in the final round.
"Having said that I shot 64 here on the Sunday last year, and one or two more of those would really help.
Casey has hinted that he may be able to fulfil the commitments required to become eligible for the Ryder Cup again he would have to play five European tour events outside the Majors and World Championships.
He has an added incentive to pick up plenty of prize money this week, after become a dad for the second time his wife, former UK TV presenter Pollyanna Woodward gave birth to a daughter ten days ago.
Europes other representatives had mixed fortunes.
Jon Rahm fired a 67 and Justin Rose opened with a battling 68, but Masters champion Sergio Garcia slumped to a tree over par 73, and is down in a share of 25th place.
The three players who lead the chase for this weeks big money prize Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, and Dustin Johnson are all still in the hunt.
Spieth and Thomas shot matching 67s, a shot better than world No 1 Johnson.
