RORY McILROY exploded in celebration after holing an outrageous 70ft birdie putt in his epic Ryder Cup match against Patrick Reed.
The world No 3 and American talisman exchanged blows in a scintillating front nine.
But the highlight came on the par-three eighth.
McIlroy's tee shot landed well short of the hole and spun back down the slope to the front of the green.
Reed's effort landed pin high but just to the left of the green as they played it.
That's when the magic happened.
McIlroy's monster putt was rammed in the middle of the hole and he produced the most emotional celebration of his career.
The European star clenched both fists, jumped up and down and put his hands to his ears, shouting: "I can't hear you!"
Reed, far and away Team USA's most inspirational player this week, then holed his putt for the halve on top of him.
The pair then embraced in a mutual show of respect as they walked to the ninth green.
